“You will never be exactly where you are supposed to be unless you allow yourself to do so” — Barbara Iuliano

Can we all agree that all human beings on this planet struggle at some point of their life? Because sister, oh, they do.

If that’s the truth (which it is), why do so many new coaches put an immense amount of pressure on their ability to do business when they feel like a failure in life? For example, someone may be going through a very difficult divorce and in turn stop showing up for their business because they feel like a fluke.

REMINDER: Whatever ‘failure’ (which really is a stepping stone) you may be experiencing… DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU ARE A FAILURE IN BUSINESS.

If your life is not exactly where you’d like it to be, it does not mean that you’re not ready to embark in the beautiful waters of entrepreneurship. If you’re still living with your parents, working for a less than ideal job, or struggling to shed those pounds you are still allowed to not just coach others BUT also succeed in your business.

Which is exactly why today I’m sharing with you 3 ways to feel successful in business when you feel like a failure in life! So are you ready, Freddy?

1. Learn how to separate your business from your personal life

This is something I teach every single one of my 1:1 clients as we take their business from zero paying clients to booked out solid. It’s so easy to mesh the two things together and leak emotions from your personal life into your business, the truth is however, that just because you may be experiencing a difficult time in life doesn’t mean that your business needs to take a hit. Sure, you may have to adjust the way that you’re showing up for it based on whatever struggle you’re experiencing, but you are not only allowed but also capable of having a successful coaching business even when life is less than ideal. The trick is to start drawing a line between the two.

2. Practice acceptance of the present moment

Trying to fight exactly what you are will prevent you from accepting it and moving through it. The more that you can practice acceptance of your current circumstances, the more that you will find creative solutions to move out of that phase AND show up for other things that matter. Fighting the present moment won’t help you get out of it. Instead, accept where you are and do the best that you possibly can from there.

3. Release the expectation of being a perfect coach

So many new coaches feel like in order to be a ‘good’ coach and make money in their business they must be perfect. Which means that life’s little surprises like a fight with their spouse or grieving the death of a loved one will stop them from showing up as a coach. Imagine if doctors believed that? That in order to save lives and show up for their work their own lives had to be perfect? There would be a shortage of helping professionals in the world (which I think there already is but that’s a story for another day). So stop setting the unrealistic expectation that you must be perfect at all times because you don’t.

There you have it, 3 ways to feel successful in business when you feel like a failure in life.
